We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems in both commercial and residential settings. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, practical skills with various tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The ideal applicant will possess relevant technical knowledge and be committed to delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities
Install, service, and repair heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and associated components.
Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out tasks efficiently and safely.
Perform welding and plumbing work as required for system installation or repairs.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
Carry out maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, checking for leaks, and replacing faulty parts.
Handle heavy lifting of equipment or materials in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations on-site.
Qualifications
Proven experience in heating system installation, maintenance, or repair.
Proficiency with welding, plumbing.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised mechanical equipment.
Good understanding of mechanical principles related to heating systems.
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installations or repairs.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Valid clean driving licence is desirable but not essential.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and persiverance
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to safety standards and possess a proactive approach towards delivering quality workmanship in all aspects of their role.
