We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems across various commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong mechanical background, practical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their expertise in heating systems and related trades.

Responsibilities

Install, service, and repair a wide range of heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating. Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance and safety. Diagnose faults accurately and carry out effective repairs in a timely manner. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing tools to complete tasks efficiently. Perform basic carpentry work related to system installation or refurbishment projects. Handle heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations. Carry out assembly of heating components and systems as required on-site or in workshops. Maintain detailed records of work carried out and report any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly. Adhere to health and safety standards at all times during operations on-site or in clients' premises.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or similar role within the trade industry. Proficiency with welding, plumbing, carpentry, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Mechanical knowledge relevant to heating systems and associated components. Ability to perform basic maths calculations for measurements and adjustments. Physical fitness for heavy lifting tasks and working in confined or elevated spaces. Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving duties is desirable but not essential. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team when required. Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Plumbing & Heating are preferred but not mandatory for all roles.
