Responsibilities
Install, service, and repair heating systems including boilers, radiators, and associated components.
Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance and safety standards.
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing tools to complete tasks accurately.
Read technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine installation requirements.
Perform heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues using mechanical knowledge and basic math skills for precise measurements.
Assist in the assembly of heating units and related components on-site or in workshops.
Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each project.
Adhere to all safety protocols during installation and repair activities, including the use of personal protective equipment.
Skills
Proven experience with welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly work.
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised mechanical equipment.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively in various environments.
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and technical documentation interpretation.
Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in completing tasks accurately.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and suppliers.
