Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Heating Engineer will ensure that all installations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.

Duties

Install and maintain heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating. Conduct regular inspections and servicing of heating equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in heating systems, providing effective solutions. Assemble components using hand tools and power tools as required. Plumb heating systems according to specifications, ensuring proper connections and functionality. Perform heavy lifting as necessary during installations or repairs. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project execution.

Skills

Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to heating system installation and maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex heating systems. Experience in techniques for pipework or system assembly is advantageous. Basic maths skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately. A valid driving licence is essential for transportation between job sites. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of the job requirements.
