Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in heating systems installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a hands-on approach, with the ability to work with various tools and equipment while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Heating Engineer will play a vital role in providing efficient heating solutions for our clients.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair heating systems in residential and commercial properties. Conduct regular inspections to ensure systems are functioning efficiently and safely. Troubleshoot heating system issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Assemble components using hand tools and power tools as required. Plumb new heating installations according to specifications. Perform heavy lifting when necessary, particularly when handling large equipment or materials. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project completion. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or similar role is preferred. Gas safe and G3 heat pump LGP qualifications advantageous but not mandatory. Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of heating systems. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform basic maths for measurements and calculations related to installations. A valid commercial driving licence. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
