Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing & heating systems across various commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, practical skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The successful applicant will play a vital part in ensuring our clients' plumbing & heating systems operate efficiently and safely.

Duties

Install, service, and repair a wide range of plumbing & heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating. Installation of sinks, bath, showers , taps and toilets Installation of Cylinders and immersion heaters Emergency call out for leaks Assisting in bathroom installations Assisting in boiler installations Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance. Diagnose faults accurately using specialised tools and mechanical knowledge. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing fittings to complete installations and repairs. Perform heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely in accordance with health and safety regulations. Carry out carpentry tasks related to system installation or modifications. Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of equipment and materials to various sites. Assist in assembly work for new heating units or system components. Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used. Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or similar role within the industry. G3 qualified Preferably gas safe but not essential Proficiency in soldering , plumbing, carpentry, and assembly work. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex heating systems. Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and system diagnostics. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles. Good organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments. Relevant qualifications or certifications in plumbing, heating engineering, or related fields are desirable but not essential.
