Overview


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in heating systems, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing various heating systems across the domestic, residential and education sectors. Applicants should be committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and ensuring safety standards are met at all times.

Responsibilities



Install, service, and repair heating systems including boilers and radiators. Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out tasks efficiently. Conduct plumbing work related to heating systems, including pipework installation and maintenance. Carry out heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely and effectively. Troubleshoot issues within heating systems and implement effective solutions. Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used. Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues. Assist with the assembly of new heating units or components as needed.

Qualifications



Nationally Accredited Certified HTR1 (Desired) CKR1 (Desired) Level 3 Gas diploma certification (or equivalent) Proven experience in heating system installation, maintenance, or repair. Proficiency with soldering, plumbing, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to heating appliances and systems. Ability to perform basic maths calculations for measurements and system specifications. Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in confined spaces or at heights if necessary. Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting equipment or materials between sites. Basic understanding of health & safety procedures related to engineering work environments. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Candidates who meet these requirements will be well-equipped to contribute effectively within our team while advancing their professional skills in a dynamic environment.
