Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, practical skills with hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. The ideal applicant will have experience in plumbing, welding, carpentry, and assembly, with a focus on delivering high-quality service efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities



Install, service, and repair heating systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised tools to complete tasks Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to execute installations accurately Perform heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely during installation or repairs Carry out plumbing tasks related to heating systems including pipe fitting and soldering Undertake carpentry work as needed for system supports or housing modifications Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of equipment or materials when required Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or similar role within the construction or maintenance sector Proficiency in welding, plumbing, carpentry, assembly, and use of hand and power tools Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles or lorries Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and system diagnostics Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to safety standards and possess excellent communication skills. Experience working in both residential and commercial environments is desirable. This role offers an opportunity to develop technical expertise within a supportive team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
