Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in heating systems installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and practical skills to ensure the efficient operation of heating systems in both residential and commercial settings.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair heating systems, including boilers and radiators. Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify issues within heating systems. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform installations and repairs. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all work activities. Perform heavy lifting as required during the installation and maintenance processes. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their heating needs.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot heating systems effectively. Proficiency in plumbing, carpentry, and assembly tasks related to heating installations. Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations on-site. A valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for transporting tools and materials. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments. Willingness to engage in ongoing training and development within the field.
