The Opportunity

We are looking for a trained industry professional with experience of the Plumbing and Heating industry to join our highly skilled teaching team as an Instructor. This is a brand-new exciting role within our Construction team supporting student growth and development within our growing apprenticeship provision. As our new Plumbing Instructor you will perform and support practical competence skills-based training to apprentices in the workshop setting. You will also support practical skills-based training by providing skills-based support.
Our new Instructor will support the building service engineers of the future to ensure competency in a range of practical activities using industry standard materials and methods to complete projects relevant to traditional and modern-day situations, including low carbon and renewable energy technologies.
About You
You will be part of our established delivery team, supporting all aspects of the Plumbing and Heating curriculum. Your role will include delivering independent sessions and working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure practical lessons are delivered effectively and meet college standards.

Required
Relevant Level 3 qualification in subject specialism
Level 3 Assessor Award (or willingness to work towards)
Level 4 teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
Level 2/GCSE maths and English qualifications (C or above) or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years' experience within the construction industry
Ability to train and develop students with the required knowledge, skills and behaviours
Ability to make use of appropriate IT and systems
