Job Introduction
We're looking for an experienced PMO Analyst to support our Project Management Office within the Customer Excellence team and deliver transformation through best-in-class frameworks. Reporting to the PMO Manager, you will provide coordination, reporting governance support, stage gate assessments and administrative oversight to ensure projects run smoothly, follow agreed standards, and deliver expected outcomes.
The role is ideally based in Castle Donnington, but we offer flexibility across our offices in the West Midlands, East Midlands, South West, or Wales. We support hybrid working, with travel to Castle Donnington once a week and the remainder from home.
Main Responsibilities
Maintain PMO frameworks, standards, and templates to ensure consistency across projects.
Monitor adherence to governance processes, escalating risks and issues where necessary.
Support the identification and monitoring of risks, issues, dependencies, ensuring standards are adopted for their effective management, as well as challenging accuracy and completeness.
Assist in monitoring and tracking project progress against timelines and dependencies.
Provide support to updating the Programme Transformation Plan, managing prioritisation, dependencies and risks.
Provide support to the Change Request Log for all new changes that are raised.
Assist with updating plans, milestones and benefits, escalating where necessary.
Conduct stage gate assessments and post-implementation reviews to embed continuous improvement.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across NGED to enable effective delivery, alignment and governance
Champion stakeholder engagement and change management across NGED to enable seamless and consistent processes and ways of working
Help improve PMO tools, templates and documentation.
Support the continuous improvement of the PMO Function and assist in embedding best practice project management across the Directorate.
The Ideal Candidate
Proven experience as a PMO Analyst within large, complex organisations.
Expertise in PMO governance, programme management and project delivery methodologies (MSP, PRINCE2).
PMO qualification (or working towards one).
Strong track record in customer-focused industries, delivering technical and business change programmes.
Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
Resilient, proactive and highly organised, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
