We are working with the NHS to find a PMO Facilitator to join the Digital Transformation Team. Previous NHS experience is NOT required but will have a proven track record in PMO.

The post holder will be responsible for overseeing and implementing a robust approach to benefits throughout projects and programmes lifecycle. You will work within the Digital Transformation Team working closely with Project Managers and will engage with wider business stakeholders across the Digital Portfolio to ensure benefits are at the heart of the portfolio delivery.

Working closely with Digital PMO Manager you will instil a benefits-led approach in everything they do, drive value and add value. The post would suit a flexible self-starter who is looking advance their experience within portfolio delivery and benefits management field.

Experience:

  • Working in project/programme environment with focus on projects benefits
  • Drafting and reviewing highly complex and detailed reports, and guidance, with minimal supervision/checking from senior staff
  • Evidencing benefits realisation of health and care initiatives and undertaking cost-benefit analysis
  • Working within and/or with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Systems that harness new technology and innovations
  • Supporting the production of Business Cases with recommendations, costings and benefits identification
  • Using data and conducting analysis and an ability to apply this to healthcare settings
  • Using analytical software and managing the communication of the results of complex analysis
  • Applying techniques from specialist analytical disciplines such as cost-benefit analysis (CBA), return on investment (ROI) and evaluation
  • Evidence of advance analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of project and programme co-ordination, in particular the bringing together of business cases information in relation to benefits opportunities
  • Implement governance standards across the portfolio, including tracking, monitoring and updating the benefit opportunities from across the whole Digital Transformation portfolio
  • Detailed analysis & validation of various types of data within business cases to help inform the assessment of benefit opportunities and improvement across the organisations
Education/Training/Qualifications:
  • Educated to first degree level or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the PRINCE2 methodology and the PRINCE2 Foundation qualified
  • Benefit Management Foundation qualified
  • Good working knowledge of a wide range of IT packages including MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Understanding of a finance function and its processes
  • Knowledge of governance structures and how their hierarchy integrates to support the delivery of a large programme of work
  • Understanding of the basic change process and has an appreciation for change management and its importance in enabling an organisation to meet immediate and future challenges
The role requires to be on site in Bristol min 2 days per week.
