Our Tech Team at Santander UK is growing, and we have exciting opportunity for PMO Governance Lead to help us continue leading the way in innovative banking.

The PMO Governance Lead is a strategic role responsible for managing the BAU and day to day Project Management Office\xe2\x80\x99s governance processes/systems, to ensure that projects are executed in alignment with the organisation\xe2\x80\x99s goals, standards and best practices.

As a technical specialist, you will implement and maintain project management methodologies, processes and policies, providing the required governance and leadership across the team and organisation, as well as providing support to Project Managers and stakeholders.

Leading all governance aspects of the change portfolio within the Infrastructure, Operations and End User Technology organisation with a comprehensive framework to direct all project roles, responsibilities and overall decision making

Delivering project management, policy and process across all activity ensuring conformance to bank wide governance

Maintaining all metrics, KPIs and OKRs reporting in union with all delivery functions, providing additional analytics and insights where required

Holding and monitoring a portfolio wide risk register with options to mitigate, remove or transfer with regular reviews across the community

Acting as the central project finance repository owner to ensure correct usage, budgeting and reporting in union with all bank-wide finance reporting and budget drawdown procedures

Adopting and adapting the tooling to support all PMO functions, seeking improvement and efficiency where options reside and educating all delivery colleagues on correct usage

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring:

Broad experiencewithin an IT project management across an Infrastructure and Operations domain

Experience in facilitating the team with accountability for how the team operates under the relevant governance framework

Good knowledge and experience of financial management across budget utilisation, project cost estimation and financial analysis

Effective communication within the team to express the required outcomes while also liaising with the CIO domain community and senior management

Expierence in planning and assessment of complex technology solutions, focused on the underlying infrastructure and services

Good appreciation of overall strategic direction and customer needs, applying the most appropriate practices and procedures to maximise the customer experience and outcome.

It would also be nice for you to have:

Degree gained in suitable field, such as technology engineering, business, finance, related disciplines (or equivalent)

Experience of working in a tier one banking environment or equivalent financial services organisation

Hands on exposure and experience of Infrastructure build processes and automation

This role is based in Milton Keynes and our current expectation is at least 2 days in an office every week.

First Stage \xe2\x80\x93 Technical & Competency Interview \xe2\x80\x93 this will a one-hour virtual interview with two members of the team.

Second Stage \xe2\x80\x93 A one-hour formal interview where we will ask both technical and competency-based questions. This will ideally be completed face to face depending on your situation.
