Role Overview



As a PMO Support Officer, you'll be part of a small, friendly, and high-performing team that keeps the programme running smoothly. You'll gain hands-on experience in:

Key Responsibilities:



Planning & Scheduling:

Help maintain project plans using tools like Microsoft Project and Gantt Pro.

Risk & Issue Management:

Help track and manage risks and issues using Corestream, our corporate risk tool.

Governance & Reporting:

Assist with programme reporting cycles and help coordinate key meetings and workshops.

Change Control:

Manage the pipeline of change requests and ensure processes are followed.

Information Management:

Keep our central library of documents organised and up to date.

Continuous Improvement:

Contribute ideas to improve how we work and support the adoption of best practices.

You will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience.



To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

Eager to learn and grow in a project delivery environment.

Organised and detail-oriented, with good administrative skills.

Comfortable with Microsoft Office and open to learning new tools.

A team player who can also take initiative and work independently.

A clear communicator who enjoys building relationships and working with others.

Interested in how large-scale public sector programmes operate -- especially those that intersect with finance and pensions.

At MaPS, we take pride in our flexible approach to work. As standard, we work on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week. Hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and our Caxton House office will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business needs, but personal and other relevant circumstances will also be considered. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working, including whether a hybrid working arrangement is suitable for you, will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.

Step 3: Hiring Manager CV Review



Following the telephone interview, your CV will be reviewed by the hiring manager to assess your suitability for the role and team.

Step 4: Final Stage Interview



Dates: Week Commencing 4th August (subject to change)

If successful, you'll be invited to a face-to-face interview at our Caxton House office in Westminster, London. This is your opportunity to meet the team, demonstrate your potential, and get a feel for the working environment.
