POD & Fulfilment Specialist
to advise on print-on-demand, small-batch fulfilment, and third-party production models in apparel and accessories. This role suits someone with hands-on experience across POD platforms, fulfilment partners, and supplier networks who understands both the operational mechanics and the quality risks of these models. The remit is to help define what works, what fails, and what must be controlled before scaling.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on POD and small-batch fulfilment models for apparel and accessories.
Assess quality consistency, embroidery/print accuracy, and material reliability across POD suppliers.
Identify common failure points in POD workflows, including sampling, file handling, colour accuracy, and fulfilment quality checks.
Provide guidance on supplier selection, escalation routes, and remediation processes.
Advise on order routing, fulfilment SLAs, and customer-impact risk management.
Review returns, defect patterns, and customer feedback loops to inform process improvements.
Help define decision criteria for when POD is appropriate versus when traditional manufacturing is required.
Contribute to fulfilment and supplier governance frameworks for early-stage brands.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience with POD platforms and/or third-party fulfilment providers in apparel or accessories.
Strong understanding of apparel decoration methods (embroidery, DTG, DTF, screen print).
Experience managing or advising on supplier performance, quality variance, and escalation.
Familiarity with ecommerce fulfilment workflows, including order routing, SLAs, and returns handling.
Ability to clearly articulate trade-offs between speed, cost, quality, and brand risk.
Comfortable working in an advisory capacity rather than day-to-day operational fulfilment roles.
Engagement & Benefits
Competitive annual salary:
58,000 - 75,000
, depending on experience and engagement scope.
Remote, flexible working arrangement suited to an advisory or portfolio-style role.
Opportunity to shape fulfilment and POD strategy at foundation stage for multiple brands.
Exposure to a range of concepts without operational delivery burdens, within a group focused on long-term brand credibility over short-term volume.
