If you can say yes to these questions then this is a great opportunity to join a leading Alternative Provision Free School. We are expanding and need to recruit two new 'pod leader' positions. You can help change the lives of young people aged 12-16 who present emotional and behavioural challenges.
The Boxing Academy is an award-winning free school in Hackney, rated Outstanding for the second time by Ofsted in February 2025. We are looking for a reliable, sensible and enthusiastic individual to support our students in their education. You will need to have a strong work ethic and be able to act professionally in all situations to be a part of the Boxing Academy team.
The successful applicant will be able to offer support and direction to the young people we work with, both in and out of class. You must have competitive boxing experience and understand why boxing is the perfect vehicle for helping young people negotiate their education.
Person Spec
Boxing experience - ESSENTIAL
Experience in coaching boxing or other sports
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to motivate and inspire young people
Experience in schools - desirable but not essential
Emotional intelligence - ESSENTIAL
