We are a podcast strategy and growth business working with brands on establishing or growing B2B podcasts towards their ultimate business goals.
I'm hiring a
podcast editor and producer
to help deliver podcast episodes and video assets at scale --
cleanly, consistently, and to high quality spec
.
This role exists to help
increase capacity
, as well as allow an individual to grow and develop creatively with the company, and ultimately earn more responsibility and benefits.
I see this role eventually becoming full time for the right person and that person will help shape the direction of the business.
This will ultimately become a client facing role offering a lot of variety in your daily tasks as your experience and knowledge develops.
If you like structure, templates, and clear instructions, but also the room to bring your own imagination and ideas to your work, you'll enjoy this role.
What you'll be doing
Planning episode structure and story
Preparing and cleaning up audio ready for editing
Sharing plans for the edit with senior team and getting approval
Obtaining relevant creative assets for the project (music/sfx/footage) using Podknows' depositories and Descript's content bank as well as some AI generation in certain cases
Editing podcast audio to a broadcast-ready standard
Applying intros/outros, ad markers, and templates
Creating
basic podcast video edits
(For YouTube + social clips)
Creating
dynamic and engaging audio edits
Exporting and naming files correctly using best practices
Planning titles and meta data to best practice standards following SOPs
Uploading files to shared folders exactly as instructed
Once approved, scheduling content in designated platforms on behalf of clients
Overseeing some recording of content with clients

Consistency matters more than flair in this role. Creative freedom will be granted with experience.

Qualifications
Experience with Adobe Audition, Descript, and Canva applications
Decent video editing skills with a portfolio demonstrating previous work
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of social media management platforms and content creation strategies
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the capacity to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently
Organised with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively and under tight deadlines

This is a role which will begin as a freelance opportunity with plans to develop it into a full time position with all the benefits of such. But for now:
