Job Description


This client is a top 5 tech giant and one of the world\xe2\x80\x99s most popular search engines.
This is a hybrid role, so you will split your time between home office and the clients\' offices in central London. On-site you will be able to access their amazing facilities and quirky working spaces, as well as free breakfast/ lunch/ dinner, on-site gyms, outdoor spaces and roof gardens, wellness rooms and sleep pods.

:
Execute complete tasks within the scope of a larger policy launch or cross-functional work projects that have meaningful impact under guidance from a manager.
Design and execute policy development or implementation and engage with cross-functional partners to drive changes that promote user trust and mitigate risk for our client.
Deliver results and basic policy or process launches and key parts of the project.
Select appropriate approaches from clear options to address challenges under some guidance from manager or senior team members and execute parts of prioritized project work.
Frame basic process issues for decision-making, gather and analyse data to ensure a solid understanding of the root cause of a problem.

Challenge
Apply standard tools, resources, and processes to analyse and solve defined policy issues within a moderately complex policy launch or project.
Escalate complex challenges to senior team members or managers in a timely manner and assist in addressing those challenges.
Recognize when to make recommendations outside of established procedures, identify potential solutions when escalating issues and anticipates follow-up issues.

Influence
Collaborate within a team setting by sharing relevant knowledge and policy or process information.
Develop working relationships outside the team to contribute to cross-project collaborations, seek out opportunities to support, help and work with others, and engage in initiatives across the team, peers, and managers.
Foster a respectful and inclusive work environment for everyone on the team.
Follow direction on timing, goals, and objectives within a set of projects.
Manage expectations around deadlines and deliverables with stakeholders.

Expertise
Possess a foundational understanding of policy development and implementation.
Demonstrate a basic understanding of end-to-end policy implementation including operational components.
Proactively develop industry knowledge and establish self as a \xe2\x80\x9cgo-to\xe2\x80\x9d person in at least one subject area.

Responsibilities under the direction of the manager

Establish and implement global product policy and standards
Establish and implement global product policy and standards with a regional focus and foundational understanding of local culture and values, as well as community on product platforms.

Facilitate collaborations
Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors within a team setting to develop and implement product policies and standards for a wide variety of or client\xe2\x80\x99s products. Participate in investigations and respond to inquiries from external parties, reviewing, processing, and responding to requests and/or real-world investigations on our client\xe2\x80\x99s users.

Identify policy issues that may affect our client
Identify and analyse policy issues that may, today or in the future, affect our client, and understand the impact they may have on the client\xe2\x80\x99s business and users.

Manage policy escalations
Resolve policy escalations from start to finish with some guidance.

Support policy compliance
Work within a team to support the development and launch products, features and/or processes that promote user trust and uphold our client\xe2\x80\x99s policies with some guidance.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

Communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate across audiences, situations, and contexts in both a written and oral format to effectively communicate compensation plans, policies, and practices to our client\xe2\x80\x99s workers. This includes understanding when one\xe2\x80\x99s communication style needs to change or adapt to increase effectiveness and influence.

Community knowledge
Knowledge of online, international, and multilingual communities.

Crisis management
Understanding of the processes by which our client deals with disruptive and unexpected events that threaten to harm the client, its stakeholders, or the general public.

Language fluency
Ability to use native-like fluency in a foreign language (e.g., German, French, Mandarin, Spanish, Russian).

Policy fundamentals
Knowledge of fundamentals of policies, including knowledge of the product platforms.

Regulatory process
Understanding of the internet policy and legal or regulatory frameworks.

Stakeholder relations and influence
Ability to manage and garner consensus from internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
