Job Role Overview



As Lead Porter Coordinator for a prestigious corporate client, you will be the driving force behind a high-performing porterage and logistics service. Leading a dedicated team, you will ensure all workplace moves, deliveries, and event setups are executed seamlessly, safely, and to the highest standards. This is a hands-on, client-facing role that blends operational leadership with planning and administration, requiring exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to service excellence.

You will work closely with facilities, events, and cleaning teams to create a smooth, coordinated experience for employees and visitors, while maintaining compliance with health and safety protocols. This role demands a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding workplace support.

Porterage and Operational Delivery



Lead and motivate the Porter team, setting clear standards and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Coordinate daily schedules and tasks for porters to ensure efficient delivery Plan and manage daily schedules, allocate tasks, and provide cover during absences or peak demand. Oversee all porterage activities, including deliveries, collections, moves, event setups, and furniture logistics. Maintain and update digital detailed records of porter activities and allocated tasks, Ensure lifting, handling, and transportation tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Maintain equipment and storage areas to high standards of organisation and cleanliness. Carry out spot checks to monitor quality, safety, and compliance with procedures. Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive working environment aligned with On-Verve values. Assist in onboarding new porters by providing training on safety protocols, procedures, and company policies

Coordination and Administrative Support



Act as the central coordinator for all porter requests, ensuring timely allocation and completion. Maintain accurate task logs, schedules, and asset tracking records. Update and manage delivery and performance dashboards. Liaise with other departments (Facilities, Events, Cleaning) to ensure seamless service delivery. Support planning and execution of large-scale projects or moves, including contractor co-ordination.

Health, Safety & Compliance



Ensure all team members adhere to Health & Safety and Manual Handling standards. Report incidents or near-misses promptly and maintain awareness of emergency procedures. Uphold building protocols and contribute to operational readiness.

Customer Service & Workplace Experience



Serve as the first point of contact for porter-related queries or escalations. Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy at all times, embodying the "DayMaker" approach to service. Proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

About You



Proven experience in porterage, facilities, or workplace operations. Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to prioritise effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams). Knowledge of Health & Safety and manual handling best practices. Flexible, proactive, and solution-focused approach to work.

Desirable:



Experience within a corporate, multi-site, or hospitality environment. Familiarity with CAFM systems or digital task management tools.
