We have an exciting opportunity for a Porter to join our team at HMP Wormwood Scrubs, a category B men's Prison located in London.
Salary - This position is part time working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday mornings only. You'll receive an annual salary up to 28,800 per annum pro rata - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Porter, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Be dealing with patients, healthcare colleagues and other professionals over the phone and face to face and ensure that everyone is working in a tidy healthcare area.
• The Porter post is a varied role, undertaking a range of delegated portering duties, including unloading, delivery of stock, and any other general tasks required across Prison Healthcare Service.
• promote safe patient care
• develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications required

• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working within a healthcare setting
• Good IT skills and IT literacy
• Ability to work within a busy environment
• Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
