The role in brief:



An opportunity has arisen to join the Accounting + Advisory team as a Portfolio Holder; this will be at either a Senior Manager or Director level, depending on your experience to date, as the role can offer long term progression opportunities.




Who we are looking for:



This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has a well established career to date within an Accountancy Practice, with experience of managing their own portfolio of SME and limited company clients or working very closely with an experienced portfolio holder and now looking to move into a portfolio holder.


This role is ideal for someone with ambitions to progress their career through to Director and/or Partnership eventually, as well as growing an existing client and fee base.


As a Director, or Senior Manager, within PM+M, we will be looking for someone who shows long term ambition, and is keen to develop not only the department and team, but also themselves in development opportunities internally and externally.




This role will require atleast 50% of time based from our Bury office.

What the role involves:



Manages a client portfolio, supporting team members and deals with the more complex needs of clients Consideration of the wider tax implications of advice on clients both personally and from a corporate position. Supervising and training team members and being a mentor for managers Assisting the Partners and Directors with adhoc projects Ensuring KPI's on WIP, Billing and Debtors are achieved on own portfolio Building personal brand with other professionals and business network in Lancashire Achieving annual targets to grow fees on own portfolio Ensures all deadlines are met and actively drives work towards meeting these Ensures risk, compliance and quality processes are the best Seeks regular feedback from wider Accounting + Advisory team to continually improve quality of delivery Excellent compliance skills a given Seeks appropriate and relevant continual professional development Reviews regularly to ensure there is a client centric focus through Accounting + Advisory processes and delivery Provides team training and identifies development areas for improvement within the Accounting + Advisory team






Your development



We provide a complementary range of learning opportunities to ensure that you maximise your potential in areas such as becoming a trusted adviser, how to network, presentation skills etc with opportunities for progression around the firm. These will comprise personal effectiveness as well as your technical skills.


We have 6 monthly performance review conversations to ensure your development is on track, with optional monthly 1-2-1s. You will also have the opportunity to work with a mentor. We also encourage you to get involved in wider firm initiatives and have your say on how we can progress on our journey towards being the best North-West firm of finance professionals.
