About the Role



Responsible for underwriting new business, renewals and MTAs. The objective of this role is to offer consistent quality service to brokers and deliver targets in line with the budget whilst maintaining high underwriting standards.

Key Duties



Underwrite Employers, Public and Products Liability SME risks. Experience of XSPL and CAR an advantage. This includes quoting new business and underwriting existing business (MTAs and renewals). Develop good business relationship with new and existing brokers. Negotiate pricing and terms with brokers in line with Underwriting Authority. Engage with brokers as required to develop business and maintain existing book / cross-selling company's products. Work with IT team for system enhancement and the test of new & existing products.

About You



Over 5-year experiences in insurance underwriting within commercial/SME lines Experience of underwriting Employers, Public and Product Liability risks up to 10m Limit of Indemnity Property underwriting experience an advantage Premium range up to 25,000 Knowledge of relevant regulatory practices in the industry Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good time management skills to meet deadlines Good communications and negotiation skills MGA experience preferred, but not a requirement Good MS Office skills such as Excel and Word
