This role will sit within the Transformation & Planning team, part of the Transformation Office in Informa Markets. Transformation and Planning is a multi-disciplinary function that facilitates the planning and execution of strategic change. This role reports into the Director of Portfolio and Programs.

The IM Transformation Office have a newly created opportunity for an experienced Portfolio Manager to join the IM Platforms Portfolio, enabling and accelerating the delivery of change involving platforms such as Salesforce varied product offerings (CRM, Service Cloud, Order Management, Communities, eCommerce etc\xe2\x80\xa6), Adobe Experience Manager. Our teams deliver technology, process and people change across four portfolios in North America, EMEA, Asia and Latin America.

Projects and programs range from discrete projects impacting one team or business area through to multi-teams, multi-platform initiatives, requiring extensive coordination and collaboration.

The Portfolio Manager will partner with the Head of Portfolio and Programs, providing leadership and support to raise the maturity of portfolio management. Working closely with business partners, architects, business analysts, delivery teams and other stakeholders, to effectively drive initiatives from ideation to delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to establish new ways of working and provide proactive and dynamic PMO support.

  • Supports Head of Portfolio and Divisional Leaders with road mapping and planning longer term time horizons, as well as tactical delivery plans.
  • Work with Head of Portfolio and cross functional stakeholders to embed an improved governance process to drive initiatives more efficiently and effectively from ideation, shaping, discovery onto delivery.
  • Supports the definition of scope items of initiatives on the roadmap
  • Taking a lead role in educating and supporting stakeholders in navigating the new process, understanding roles and responsibilities and how to plan and engage with decision making forums.
  • Leading the way on a collaborative and pragmatic approach to PMO, documentation and data. Overseeing intranet information, collaboration spaces + document version control (e.g. Teams channels).
  • Manage the demand intake process
  • Deploying high empathy, strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills and being receptive to feedback and suggested improvements.
  • Ensure that all governance and related meetings have appropriate input documentation, to good quality and that agendas are well prepped, with clear decisions and actions.
  • Facilitate the business case process across cross-functional stakeholders
  • Chair forums where required and substitute for the Head of Portfolio and Programs where appropriate.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure that the context behind documentation is well understood and improve quality of information for better decision making.
  • Ensure colleagues involved in the planning process are supported and have guidance to ensure governance forums and information is well planned and yields the intended outcomes.
  • Input to potential future tooling and management information discussions across the department.
  • Lead TrO initiative Reporting and Project information (including dashboard visualization) and ensure key data is shared for central reporting to good quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Leveraging strong data literacy skills, and experience of Information Management, reporting for both waterfall and more agile /iterative deliveries.
  • Provide guidance and coordinate related activities e.g. risk, issue and dependency management.
  • Establish and manage data driven feedback loop for continuous improvement, leveraging surveys and communication forums with stakeholders, retrospective, etc\xe2\x80\xa6
Qualifications
  • Significant Portfolio Management, Demand Management and Project Management experience.
  • Extensive experience of working in a Central or Portfolio PMO Team supporting multiple initiatives.
  • Experience chairing senior management meetings and governance forums, as well as issuing and visualizing reporting and management information.
  • Extensive experience of supporting, running and improving PMO/project governance activities.
  • Excellent Excel skills to support project KPI analysis
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills in senior management forums
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Experience providing leadership and support to other PMO / governance roles
  • Strong with data and information - experience with Management Information processes and compiling data to meet needs of different audiences.
  • Strong PowerPoint, visualization and storytelling skills; able to build monthly customer reporting and updates
  • Experience in owning intranet content and collaboration spaces (aka Teams and channels)
  • Knowledge or experience of Agile/Lean PMO practices will also be useful in suggesting new ways of enabling value and flow of delivery.
