36 hours (average) per week (full-time 9 day working fortnight).

Resonance is an impact property fund manager that is transforming the relationship between private investment and social good. To help us continue this journey, we are looking for a Portfolio Manager to join our growing Resonance Community Developers (RCD) team. In this role you will help us build on our success to date


Your primary base is likely to be our Launceston or Manchester office, though for the right candidate we are open to considering Bristol or London as alternatives (with a modest London weighting potentially available).

In this role, you wont just be managing processesyoull be helping to ensure that every investment we make delivers both strong financial returns and measurable social impact. Your leadership in portfolio management will help turn bold ideas into tangible outcomes, advancing Resonances mission to create meaningful, sustainable change through impact investing.


You will be based in one of our offices, with a hybrid working option available. You will play a key role in supporting the Head of RCD and working closely with the investment team to co-ordinate portfolio operations.

HERES WHAT YOULL DO FOR US RESPONSIBILITIES



Portfolio Management and Contracting



Maintain close contact with investees to ensure that reporting requirements are met, due diligence/investment conditions are completed, and that income is received on time. Oversee monitoring and updating of portfolio accounts, transaction tracking, and reconciliation with Resonances Finance team. Support the team to facilitate successful post IC negotiation and execution of investment agreements etc. Coordinate the contracting and payment of external parties engaged by the RCD team, liaising with relevant internal teams.

Operational Systems



Help develop and co-ordinate filing structures and systems to operate the fund effectively. Ensure documented systems and processes exist for all aspects of the fund and that they are referenced in an Operations Manual with links to live documents, including template legal docs etc.

Pipeline

Management



Contribute to the ongoing development of management and back-office systems (including Salesforce) for the growing investment portfolio. Monitor and support the review and triage process for new enquiries, working with the RCD Team to help manage application flows and analyse data.

Reporting and Sharing

Impact



Maintain and support the development of the portfolios financial and impact databases and systems, ensuring that all records are kept up to date, liaising with colleagues who may lead on specific areas of impact. Supporting the Head of RCD to provide timely reports and papers to the IC. Coordinate the logistics for IC meetings, supporting the Head of RCD to ensure agendas, papers and minutes are accurate and up to date. Supporting the Head of RCD and colleagues to enable timely monitoring and reporting to funders/investors on portfolio performance. Support the Head of RCD and colleagues in developing content and events for sharing Resonances learnings externally.

Supporting Investment Deals

Support investment team with information and data to help bring forward IC papers to committee Work with colleagues to support the due diligence process, ensuring back-office systems are aligned and contain all the necessary information to ensure DD is robust

Building Relationships



Develop internal relationships across Resonance with teams including, Finance, People, Comms, and Compliance to facilitate effective operations and reporting for the portfolio. Maintain relationships with portfolio organisations.

WHAT WE WANT YOU TO BRING TO US SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE



Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial operations, investment management, or a related operations role. Strong analytical skills with the ability to present numeric information clearly. Proficiency in Excel (e.g., XLOOKUP, pivot tables) and ability to learn new systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across different teams and stakeholders. Interest in social investment and community-led development. Understanding of and commitment to Resonances mission, values, and goals. Able to work independently and demonstrate initiative and tenacity in seeing tasks or projects through to conclusion. Willing to travel within the UK and work with colleagues in multiple locations Enjoy rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in do whatever it takes to get the job done - we are only a small team

DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES



Experience with Salesforce, or similar CRM systems. Project management experience. Experience in contract management and documentation. Knowledge of impact reporting frameworks. Experience in social investment, social lending, or social impact measurement. Experience in process documentation and improvement. Demonstrated commitment to social change through work, volunteering, or activism.

WHO YOULL BE WORKING WITH INTERNAL & EXTERNAL

Head of RCD, Investment Managers, Finance, People, Comms, Impact Labs Team and Compliance teams. Investment Committee and external stakeholders within the social investment sector.
