The Language Centre is seeking a temporary tutor of Portuguese to join our teaching team, delivering occasional classes to a diverse group of adult learners and university students. The anticipated start date is 29 September 2025 (Exeter Streatham Campus).
The role is offered at an hourly rate of 42.47 (inclusive of preparation time and holiday pay), aligned with spine point T102.

We're looking for someone who has:
Experience designing and delivering structured language programmes in Portuguese (A1-B1 level), typically using a coursebook
A degree (or higher qualification) in Portuguese, another language, or a related humanities subject
The ability to expose students to both European and Brazilian Portuguese, using a variety of materials from both regions
English proficiency at B2 level or above
A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively
A friendly, engaging teaching style
Experience teaching online (e.g. via Zoom) - desirable but not essential
