Translator - English/Portuguese (Remote)

UK-Based | Full-Time | Monday to Friday

Salary: 24,000-26,000 per annum

Role Overview

You'll play a vital part in translating legal and operational documentation, facilitating communication between clients and solicitors, and--where qualified--producing certified translations. The role offers flexibility to work remotely and the opportunity to contribute directly to casework and client services.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately translate a variety of legal materials including court pleadings, correspondence, and evidence Provide telephone and video interpretation to assist case discussions and client consultations Translate communications between claimants and fee earners Prepare certified copies of translations where required Maintain a structured diary of translation assignments Attend training and team development sessions Support additional administrative or linguistic tasks

Occasional Duties

Verbal interpretation in legal settings such as hearings or medical appointments Attendance at pre-trial meetings when specifically requested

What We're Looking For

Fluent in English and Portuguese; Spanish language skills are highly desirable Legal translation experience with an eye for detail and accuracy Able to manage multiple deadlines and work autonomously Excellent written and verbal communication Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident in formatting professional documentation Professional, empathetic, and organised approach to sensitive client matters
