Working intensively with families, carers and the multidisciplinary team around the child, you will aim to improve the well-being of the child aiming to decrease their need to use negative behaviours to get their needs met. You will also work closely with colleagues in East Sussex County Council Children's Care Homes and services, to support behavioural approaches and risk management.


As part of an existing team of experienced staff, you will work alongside families and professionals in drawing up and delivering bespoke behaviour plans. This will involve behaviour analysis, skills teaching and modelling approaches with families and carers. You will work flexibly, often out of hours so that you can be there when behaviours are happening.


We are looking for a skilled practitioner, with experience of working with:


Highly complex children and their families and the confidence to help those with behavioural issues. Ability to analyse complex behaviour, identify key triggers for outlining intervention and support programmes which aim to achieve the best outcomes for young people.
On completion of Probationary year candidates will be offered the chance to complete a level 4 professional diploma in Positive Behaviour Support.


The team is based in Eastbourne but works dynamically across the whole of the county. You will need a full driving license or the ability to demonstrate how you will meet the travelling requirements of the post
