Job Description

Ipswich Town Foundation is currently looking to recruit a coach to support our Post-16 Football & Education programme.

We are seeking an experienced individual who has worked in a similar role previously to join our team who will be passionate about football and the development of players.

You will be an ambitious and enthusiastic professional, who is flexible, and target driven and has an ability to recognise new opportunities and develop existing relationships to deliver. You will have a great understanding of how to sustain and increase participation with an ability to network with local clubs, schools, and organisations to build relationships..

This is a fixed term, part time role requiring flexibility based on a 10-hour week based on, but not limited to the below:

Mondays - 2pm-5pm

Tuesdays - 1pm-5pm

Thursdays - 2pm-5pm

Job Role Outline



The role will be to deliver the Post 16 Football and Education Programme and develop footballers between the ages of 16-19 in a competitive and professional training and football fixtures programme, ensuring lifelong memories are created through positive experiences.

Aims



To deliver on the Post 16 Football & Education Programme

To develop and deliver an effective recruitment strategy.

Achieve targets set using the recruitment strategy to provide continued participation.

To act as a role model for all students, staff and potential future coaches.

Look to retain suitable individuals to work within the Foundation.

Role Specific Responsibilities



To deliver engaging and quality sessions that challenge and develop player from the Post-16 Football & Education programme.

To prepare session plans, evaluations/information as required.

To ensure accurate monitoring of records for all activities are maintained.

Ensure participation registers and administration for all participants are correctly completed.

To work closely with all staff members to aid collaborative working.

Develop and deliver a high-quality course experience for new and existing players.

Develop relationships with parents; communicate with parents and educate them regarding their role in supporting their child's development.

Drive a proactive safeguarding culture, including supporting accident, incident and near miss reporting processes.
