Job Summary

We are seeking a

Postgraduate Engineer Trainee

to join our team, offering the opportunity to develop expertise in CNC laser operations as well as administrative and parts management functions. This role is perfect for a recent engineering graduate or postgraduate student eager to apply academic knowledge in a real-world manufacturing environment. You will receive hands-on training in cutting-edge CNC technologies and gain valuable experience in the operational and administrative aspects of our engineering processes.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards. Receive training in CNC laser operation, setup, and maintenance Assist in running laser cutting machines for various materials and components Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models Support senior engineers in troubleshooting and optimizing machine performance Help track and manage parts inventory, ensuring availability of required materials for production Work with suppliers to order parts and materials as needed Support the engineering team with data entry, progress tracking, and administrative tasks Learn and contribute to process improvement initiatives related to CNC operations and parts management

Requirements

A degree or relevant qualification in Engineering or a related field is preferred. Mechanics knowledge with an understanding of engineering principles. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively. Familiarity with CAD software, SolidWorks, Simulink, MATLAB, and LabVIEW is advantageous. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
