The Solar and Magnetospheric Theory Group has a vacancy for a Post-doctoral Research Fellow working in the field of solar physics, in particular in the areas of forward modelling of MUSE observables of coronal heating and MHD waves
In recent years, the Group has received funding by STFC (Consolidated Grant, Doctoral Training Partnership, ScotDIST Centre for Doctoral Training), the European Research Council and other bodies, e.g the Leverhulme Trust. It has a lively atmosphere and many international visitors. Its research fellows have enjoyed considerable success over many years in gaining tenured university positions.
