This role is perfect for someone with experience teaching post-primary Maths who wants to make a real impact on students' academic success.
What You'll Be Doing
Provide engaging, in-person Maths lessons for individuals or small groups.
Teach students across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level (if applicable).
Plan personalised lessons to target specific learning needs and boost confidence.
Monitor progress and adjust lesson strategies accordingly.
Keep parents and guardians informed about student development.
Essential Criteria
Degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
At least 1 year of post-primary Maths teaching or tutoring experience.
Strong understanding of the NI Maths curriculum.
Ability to explain challenging topics in a clear and approachable way.
Dependable, professional, and supportive teaching style.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
Background in supporting students with additional educational needs.
Role Details
Pay Rate: 20-30 per hour (based on level taught and session type).
Hours: 4-25 per week, flexible (weekday and weekend sessions available).
Location: In-person - Carrickfergus.
Contract: Self-employed basis.
Requirements: Right to work in Northern Ireland, UK bank account, and enhanced AccessNI check (or willingness to obtain).
Commitment: Ideally available for at least one academic year.
