Role title: POSTROOM LEADER & DRIVER

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our small team and fast-growing company as an Postroom leader & driver, at our main office & warehouse in Grays Essex on a full time basis.

The role is typically focused on pick & pack work in our warehouse.

There is opportunity for overtime work as a driver for our events

Additionally forklift driving - training will be provided.

Hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm; Monday - Friday; 45hrs per week

Holiday: 28 days per year

Pay: Starting at 13.15 p.h. based on experience

Start date: as soon as possible

It is essential new hires:

- have strong computer skills

- can deal with physical aspects of using ladders, carrying stock and loading vehicles.

- are hard working

- can pick up new skills quickly

- work well under pressure

KEY ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

PACKING:

- Picking - printing picking lists, collating orders

- Packing - utilising packing software to match orders and pack unique orders efficiently and accurately.

- Software used: Sendcloud, Shopify and Royal Mail Click & Drop.

- Report picking & packing issues to customer service team

- Report any low levels of packaging materials to CS

STOCKROOM:

- Managing the stock floor - tidying, moving stock forwards manually, maintaining high standards and keeping order.

DELIVERIES:

- Accepting deliveries from suppliers - assisting unloading pallets & containers

- Moving stock deliveries around the lower floor

- Keeping forklift area tidy

FORKLIFT:

- Candidate will need to be able to use forklift to load / unload deliveries

- Training will /can be provided, a base level of knowledge is helpful - such as driving licence.

DRIVER: (Overtime opportunity 1 weekend a month)

- Loading / Unloading vans & lorrys to events

- Driving vans to events in London.

GENERAL WAREHOUSE RESPONSIBILITIES:

KEYHOLDER

- Opening warehouse & warehouse closedown - switching off all machines, lights & safety checks.

- Maintaining equipment across the warehouse - such as laundry and finishing equipment.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Computer skills - must:

o Windows

o Packing software (once taught)

- Language - English

USEFUL SKILLS BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:

- Full UK driving licence

- Forklift experience
