We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Pot Wash to join our culinary team in a vibrant kitchen environment. The Pot Wash plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, ensuring that all cooking utensils, pots, and pans are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and wish to gain experience in the hospitality industry, particularly within hotels and restaurants.
Duties
Clean and sanitise all pots, pans, dishes, and cooking utensils used by the kitchen staff.
Maintain a clean and organised pot wash area to ensure efficiency during busy service periods.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required by the culinary team.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
Support kitchen staff by helping with the movement of equipment and supplies as needed.
Report any damaged or broken equipment to the kitchen supervisor promptly.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
A background in food preparation or culinary arts is advantageous for those looking to advance their career in hospitality.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential for success in this role.
