About Mino Pottery Painting:

Mino is start-up, high quality, attentive pottery painting cafe and bar. We are based in Herne Hill, near vibrant Brixton and leafy Dulwich and will be focussed on offering a unique blend of artistic experiences featuring high quality ceramic painting, all while enjoying speciality coffee, drinks and small plates.

Position and responsibilities:

As a ceramic glazer, you'll be responsible for preparing and applying glazes to bisque-fired pottery, operating kilns, and ensuring each firing is at full capacity. You'll also bag completed customer orders, maintain a clean and safe workspace. You'll work independently, but as part of a close-knit creative team, and play a key role in ensuring each piece is finished to a high standard.

Some of you tasks will include:

maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the studio; assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking supplies; adhere to all health and safety regulations related to ceramic materials. create glazed and fired pottery preparing and packing fired pottery for customer pickup or shipment. preparing and applying glazes to bisque-fired ceramic pieces adjusting glaze viscosity and ensuring smooth, consistent application loading and unloading kilns (firing only when full) occasionally supporting with deliveries or pickups (driving licence helpful, but not essential)

Qualifications and requirements:

We are looking for a individuals with:

1 year of previous experience in ceramics and/or glaze application comfortable operating kilns and mixing glazes Strong attention to detail Positive, independent, and reliable with a strong eagerness to learn and adapt. strong communication skills; eligibility to work in the UK; and
a base in London. We are located in SE24 9HU and we would require you to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
