Poultry Farm Manager

to manage a modern broiler unit near

Bath

, comprising

4 sheds housing 180,000 birds

, delivering

7 crops per year

.

This is a permanent, on-site role offering a

3-bedroom house on the farm

, a

highly attractive performance-based bonus structure

, and a

clear route into area management

for the right individual.

Salary & Benefits

Base salary:

40,000 - 55,000 per annum

, depending on experience

Performance bonus:

Up to 25% of base salary per annum (annual bonus target)

Paid

in instalments after each crop

, rather than once annually Each crop payment is

conditional on welfare and performance KPIs

Accommodation:

3-bedroom house on the farm provided

Key Responsibilities

Full operational management of

4 broiler sheds (180,000 birds)

Deliver consistently strong crops with excellent

bird welfare outcomes

Day-to-day stockmanship, inspections, and welfare monitoring Manage the full production cycle:

placement, brooding, grow-out, clearing, and turnaround

Maintain strict

biosecurity and hygiene standards

Monitor flock performance data including mortality, FCR, ADG, feed and water usage Ensure accurate record-keeping and full audit readiness Manage, train, and develop farm staff and daily routines Liaise with vets, technical teams, catching crews, and contractors Ensure compliance with health & safety and welfare standards

Person Specification

Essential



Proven experience in

broiler poultry production

Strong understanding of bird welfare, biosecurity, and environmental control Ability to manage people and work independently Strong organisational and record-keeping skills Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK

Desirable



Experience with audits and assurance schemes Poultry or agricultural qualifications
Working Pattern

This is a livestock role requiring flexibility, including

weekend checks on a rota basis
