Dinsdale Farming Limited are a family run business supplying chicken to the country's major supermarkets and well-known restaurants.
We own and manage broiler farms and are currently looking for a highly competent and motivated Farm Manager, to run this new site.

The Role
Working closely with in a team, your main responsibility as a Farm Manager will be for the wellbeing and performance of the livestock and will extend, by definition, to the up-keep and appearance of the whole site.
Key responsibilities will include:
? Daily monitoring of the birds to ensure all environmental conditions feed, water and ventilation is optimised.
? Ensuring high standards of animal welfare, hygiene, husbandry practice and biosecurity are maintained to the highest standards
? Ensure site maintenance and general standards are met and completed
? Supervise staff and third parties whilst on site, adhering to Health and Safety procedures
? Comply with legislative and assurance scheme standards
? Maintain accurate and detailed records of the birds, including Generator, alarm logs, crop records, medication register, accident book etc.
? Operate the farm within effective cost management parameters
? Managing the farm staff performance and training
? Reporting to the Area Manager daily and being audit ready at all times
Hours of Work
We operate a 6-day working week from 07.30 - 16.00 inclusive of weekends with the occasional night shift on a rota system.
? 34 Days holiday including bank holidays.
? Full comprehensive training.
? Salary 34,025.00 including accommodation
What we require from you:
? Own transport is essential.
? Physically fit to be able to meet the needs of poultry welfare.
? Previous livestock experience essential.
? NVQ/Diploma level 3 in poultry production or equivalent.
? Must have effective communication and people skills.
? Demonstrate a willingness to learn and self-motivation and lead by example ie catching, walking, poulting and all other aspects of the bird's welfare.
? A strong eye for details and cleanliness.
? Able to work with minimal supervision and carry out manual duties
? Proficient IT skills required.
? Due to Bird Welfare, it is essential that you do not own any Avian Pets or Poultry.
