Darnchester Poultry Unit Ltd are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Poultry Farm Worker to complete the daily operations of our Poultry breeding facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in farming practices, animal care, and equipment maintenance. This role requires hands-on involvement in various farming activities, ensuring the efficient and sustainable management of livestock.
Duties
To ensure that bird welfare is never compromised
Manage and monitor ventilation, heating, feed, water, litter and lighting within the agreed standards, ensuring the highest quality conditions are provided.
Collect eggs and pack to a high bio-security standard
Carry out general maintenance when necessary
Requirements
Experience in animal care, including feeding, health checks, and general welfare would be an advantage
Literate / Numerate for documentation recording
Experience in farming and or poultry is advantageous
Flexible approach to working hours
A valid driving licence
Telehandler certificate is desirable but not essential
