We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our Poultry team. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the care and maintenance of poultry, ensuring their health and welfare while supporting the overall operations of the farm. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Perform daily care of poultry, including feeding, watering, and monitoring health conditions.
Conduct heavy lifting as required for moving feed, bedding, and other materials.
Ensure cleanliness of the poultry housing areas and adhere to biosecurity protocols.
Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals.
Egg collecting and gathering eggs off floors
Site preparation and reassembly
Unloading birds
Basic record keeping
General housekeeping - cleaning and sweeping up
Bird weighing
Hours of Work -
40 hours per week, 5 days work in 7 days.
Usually every second weekend off with 2 days off during the other week.
Experience
Previous experience is advantageous but not essential.
A willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques in poultry management is essential.
Candidates should be comfortable with physical demands.
