A position has become available within one of our Poultry Farms for a Poultry Site Assistant. Working as part of a team of two, assisting with a 6 shed modern Broiler Farm.

A place of residence is not associated with this vacancy, therefore local candidates only, within commuting distance, need apply.

The business operates four farms so you will become a member of an established team, who assist each other.

It is a requirement that you maintain high levels of cleanliness, keeping the farm tidy to prevent vermin spreading disease and good self hygiene to prevent bacterial infections created by working closely with broilers.

Knowledge of Broilers would be an advantage, but other types of poultry experience would also be relevant to this position and full training will be given for those applicants wishing to gain experience in this agricultural sector.

You will assist with the general working of the site. Ensuring everything is kept to a high standard. This will include:

Bird Welfare Biosecurity & personal and farm hygiene Record keeping Night checks by rota General farm maintenance.
You

must

have a full driving licence as you will have the requirement to drive farm machinery, - experience is preferred.

The hours are 39 hours basic plus overtime, including shared weekend work.
