Job Description

A well-established, family-run farming business is seeking a General Chicken Stockperson to assist in the production of free-range table birds, from brooding to catching. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in all aspects of chicken stock management.
• Operating farm machinery, including tractors and telehandlers (training provided if necessary).
• Ensuring high welfare standards for free-range poultry.
• Maintaining farm infrastructure and equipment.
• Supporting sustainable and ethical farming practices.

Their outdoor-reared, free-range pigs are RSPCA Freedom Food accredited, and they have been awarded the Good Chicken and Good Pig Awards from Compassion in World Farming.
The Candidate:
Essential Requirements:

• A positive, enthusiastic, and hard-working attitude.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to work across all aspects of poultry farming.

Desired Experience:

• Experience working with chickens (preferred but not essential, as training will be provided).
• Tractor and telehandler skills (training available if needed).

The Package:

• xc2xa331,736 per annum.
• Permanent, full-time role available immediately.
