Job Description

Hadley Engineering Group are seeking an experienced Powder Coater to work within their busy Hadley Powder Coating Division.

This Powder Coater position will be responsible for the following :

Inspecting materials that are waiting to be coated and ensuring they are suitable and the procedures in place are correct for pre-coating preparation. Appropriate preparation and hanging of materials on the production line as efficiently as possible and ensuring the hanging procedure isn't going to impact on the quality of the coating. Assisting with preparing work using various methods to ensure the best quality finish, including sanding, filing, cleaning and degreasing using liquids and cloths. Powder Coating the work to a high standard, to the correct colour and operating the oven with the correct timing and temperatures. Understanding the coating settings on the gun and oven controls to assure effective coating and curing is achieved. Recording correctly on the production paperwork quantities, sizes and work carried out. Inspecting materials that have been coated, rejecting or passing them based on the coating quality. Assisting with the packaging of finished goods to suit packing procedures (where applicable) or packing in a suitable manner. (Liaising with team leader) Assisting with strapping / wrapping pallets securely ready for transit Assisting with labelling items / pallets recording details to identify suitably Recording all information on paperwork provided in accordance with ISO9001. General duties such as house keeping. Maintaining and regular cleaning gun, booth, oven. Health and safety must be considered and complied with at all times. Punctual Reliable Physically fit and able - this is a very physical job and requires consistent lifting and bending. The company has a reputation for extremely high quality preparation and paintwork on its products so the successful candidates will need to be experienced in the industry or extremely keen to learn to assist in achieving consistent high quality on all jobs. Overtime is expected when the level of work requires.
Mon - Thurs - 6:30 - 15:30 and Fri 06:30 - 13:00.

Candidates MUST be willing to work overtime (at additional rate) to ensure work loads are completed on time.
