Power Platform and SharePoint Developer (Short-Term Contract)

The Opportunity

A-SAFE is seeking a skilled Power Platform and SharePoint Developer for a short-term contract to enhance our SharePoint online site. This role focuses on document control, including version control, document numbering, and document approval via SharePoint Online and the Microsoft Power Platform. Our existing SharePoint site hosts a vast amount of data, but its features and functions are currently underutilised due to a lack of internal knowledge. We need an improved system for easy document retrieval, enhanced search capabilities, a clear method for enabling authorisation and change notifications, and a procedure for setting document retention policies. You will also utilise technologies like Purview to manage access and permissions, ensuring that only the latest revision is in use.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with key departments and stakeholders to ensure the SharePoint site meets our immediate requirements. Execute the project in three phases:

Phase 1:

Address the immediate pain points of the Operational function. This includes design, migration, and document control, along with testing, training, and handover.

Phase 2:

Introduce document control to the Sales and Marketing functions, including testing, training, and handover.

Phase 3:

Integrate the designs from Phases 1 and 2 into the overall SharePoint architecture.

Requirements:

Proven experience with SharePoint development, Purview and the Microsoft Power Platform. Strong understanding of document control processes. Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills for training and handover processes.
