Role Overview





The Power Platform Specialist will play a key role in supporting the continuous improvement and innovation of our digital services. The role focuses on identifying business use cases and designing, building and maintaining solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, with a particular emphasis on Power Apps. The successful candidate will engage proactively with stakeholders at all levels to understand operational pain points, champion digital transformation and deliver user-centric solutions that reduce manual effort, streamline processes and drive

organisational efficiency.



This is a highly visible and collaborative role that requires strong problem-solving capabilities, stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to deliver value through

low-code/no-code technologies.


Principal Responsibilities




Power Platform Strategy & Architecture




Identify and prioritise business use cases where the Power Platform can deliver measurable benefits aligned with the organisation's digital strategy Promote the strategic use of the Power Platform across the business, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and integration standards Evaluate new features and capabilities released by Microsoft and assess their relevance to the organisation Contribute to the ongoing development of Power Platform governance frameworks, including solution design standards and environment strategy

Technical Leadership



Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the Power Platform, providing guidance and thought leadership to both IT and business stakeholders Advocate for and implement best practises around solution architecture, performance optimisation, reusability and maintainability

Delivery & Projects



Design, build and implement Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate flows and integrations with Microsoft 365 and third-party services Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to gather requirements, create prototypes and iterate based on feedback Deliver high-quality, user-focused applications that digitise manual processes and improve business efficiency Manage the full solution lifecycle including scoping, development, testing, deployment and continuous improvement

Support



Maintain and enhance existing Power Platform solutions to ensure continued fit-for-purpose operation and optimal performance Provide 2nd/3rd line support for Power Platform applications and flows, resolving incidents and issues promptly Support user onboarding, training and adoption activities, including creation of documentation and user guides

Security & Compliance



Ensure that all solutions are developed in line with organisational policies for data protection, access control and security Implement appropriate data governance measures, including role-based access, audit logs and environment control Collaborate with IT Security and Compliance teams to assess and mitigate risks associated with Power Platform usage

Qualifications, Skills and Experience




Preferred Qualifications



Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

Essential



Demonstrate experience in developing and deploying solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (especially Power Apps and Power Automate) Strong understanding of relational databases, data modelling and Dataverse Ability to manage solution lifecycle including requirements gathering, prototyping, testing, deployment and support Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage users at all levels Proactive and self-motivated, with a passion for improving business processes and delivering user-friendly solutions Knowledge of Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint, Teams and Outlook integrations

Desirable



Microsoft certifications such as PL-100, PL-200 or PL-400 Understanding of IT governance, change control and security policies Exposure to Agile delivery methods and working in cross-functional teams * Experience using Azure services, connectors, API's in Power Platform solutions
