We have an exciting new opportunity as a member of the Product Engineering Team. This role will be responsible for driving New Product Development Team to support new product analysis, to manage project schedule, to control cost, and to assure product quality and reliability. It will be responsible for product verification, characterization, qualification, and releasing to production. Coordinate wafer fabs, assembly and test sites, and subcontractors to develop new products and to release products to market on time.
The key responsibility areas include:
Work closely with the design and marketing teams to specify new products through the drafting of datasheets, test specifications and assembly documents.
Work with FAEs, marketing, and sales to define new product specifications, to perform product competitive benchmarks, and to support business analysis through NPBAs.
Define project plans and work with global teams to meet project milestones, which will include organising meetings, resource planning and scheduling, following-up actions and resolving resource conflicts.
As part of a team, perform DFMEA and technology review to ensure quality assurance requirements are sustained.
Drive team and relevant stakeholders, both inside and outside Diodes, to continually improve performance and reduce time to market of new products.
Monitor new product development performance against project plan and implement solutions to address deviations from the original release to market date.
Report projects status to managers on a regular basis.
To complete data entry into the corporate quality management systems and to identify ways of improving the process and then work to implement the required changes.
Conduct computer-aided statistical test data collection and analysis to define reliable test limit for production test quality, repeatability, and reproducibility.
Sustain existing products for production low yield disposition, yield improvement, field failure returns, customer data requests, and engineering change requests.
To be able to characterise PP BU parts on the bench or arrange characterisation at the A/T site and to be able to interpret and understand characterisation data.
Other duties as assigned.
Candidates
should possess:
Degree or equivalent in Electronics or similar discipline.
Evidence of project management experience
Good understanding of transistors and diodes and engineering principles
Familiarity with Quality Management principles.
Good IT skills - standard MS Office and data analysis software
Team player as well as independent contributor taking full ownership and has a drive to complete tasks/projects either by their own efforts or by motivating others.
Excellent organizational and planning skills demonstrating an ability to work towards stretched targets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in all regions of the business, particularly in Asia.
Ability to present data to teams internal and external to the Business Unit as required.
Willingness to travel if required
