new sector in the hospitality space: A Residents'

Club.

Each Residents' Club blurs the lines between hotels, serviced apartments, and private rentals. It provides residents a sense of home with beautifully designed club flats, access to hotel-style services and a member's club for as long as they are in town - whether it be a day, week, month, or year. Think pied-a- Terre meets private club. The brand will highlight the best in British design with a focus on sustainability and smart technologies at its core. The Other House will provide a unique environment for travelers seeking flexibility, style, and experiences to remember as we reimagine how people stay.



The first location with over 200 Club Flats opened after significant investment in South Kensington, in summer 2022, to great acclaim. The Other House Covent Garden is planned to open in 2024 and The Other House Belgravia in 2025. Whilst the initial focus will be on prime central London, the venture will roll out globally, catering for the aspirational business and leisure traveler for short and long-term stays.

Role

/Summary

:

As a PPM Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our Residence club and the systems on property. Working as part of our Engineering team you will undertake a range of PPM duties and ensure that all our back of house areas and public areas, along with guest bedrooms are maintained and presented at the highest standard. You will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant and fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team of professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our residents

Essential Skills

We are looking for someone who has:

Proven experience as a PPM or Junior Engineer or in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry. Technical certifications or trade licenses are desirable. Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire and life safety systems. Familiarity with energy management and conservation practices. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests, colleagues, and external contractors. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces if required. Knowledge of relevant safety and building codes and regulations.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

To carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and audio-visual plant and equipment within the hotel apartments. Take control of water temperature monitoring, shower descaling and AC filter cleaning To carry out minor repairs to the building fabric, decorative finishes and furnishing and fittings throughout the property. Check Knowcross work order system and action any jobs relating to current set of PPM rooms as per the departmental Policies and Procedures manual. Input all non Knowcross issues found in each room on the PPM schedule for that day and record actions and status. Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance duties as directed by the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly planner. Take lead in entering all relevant data for L8 compliance. Take lead in implementing PPM plan for all areas of the business including BOH and FOH. Promptly advise your supervisor or duty manager of any serious problems or failures together with any relevant information to aid follow up
