About Us



Carers Trust Heart of England supports unpaid carers and people with care and support needs across Coventry and Warwickshire. We provide services, information, advice, and advocacy -- ensuring carers and their families receive the right support when they need it most.

The Role



We are looking for a creative, proactive, and highly motivated PR & Communications Officer to help elevate the profile of Carers Trust Heart of England and increase support for unpaid carers and those they care for across our area of operation.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will shape compelling stories, build strong relationships with local media and key partners, and create engaging content that inspires individuals, community groups, schools, faith organisations, and local businesses to get involved.

Key Responsibilities



Communications & PR



Deliver eye-catching comms and PR activity that boosts our profile. Plan and support campaigns, projects, and awareness moments. Handle media enquiries and build strong press relationships. Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and internal updates. Support the communications needs of our delivery teams and fundraising colleagues. Keep messaging clear, consistent, and on brand.

Storytelling



Identify and develop meaningful real-life stories that bring our work to life. Grow and support a diverse network of storytellers. Produce case studies for web, fundraising, marketing, and media use.

Brand & Creative



Champion our brand across all channels. Create eye-catching graphics and materials using Canva or similar tools.

Digital



Keep our digital platforms fresh, relevant, and engaging. Use analytics to shape content and spot new digital opportunities. Support digital fundraising campaigns.

What We're Looking For



Experience in PR, communications, community fundraising, events, or income generation within a charity or similar environment. Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging content for a range of audiences and channels. Excellent relationship-building skills and confidence working with community partners, media contacts, and supporters from all walks of life. Confident communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan, deliver, and support campaigns, events, and media activities. Comfortable using social media, digital tools, and basic design platforms (e.g., Canva) A genuine passion for championing unpaid carers and helping to strengthen the communities we serve.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 18,162.00 per year
