The Role




We're looking for a results-driven PR & Communications Manager to lead public relations, corporate communications, and public affairs for a cutting-edge company in the sustainability and technology space.


This role is perfect for a PR and media expert with B2B and B2C experience who wants to drive impactful campaigns, shaping brand awareness and engagement with key stakeholders, including customers, investors, and policymakers.

Key Responsibilities




PR & Communications




Develop and execute a comprehensive PR & communications strategy to drive brand awareness and market growth.


Lead proactive media campaigns, securing coverage for the company's innovations, partnerships, and product launches.


Craft compelling press releases, media kits, and thought leadership content for trade and consumer press.


Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, industry influencers, and key stakeholders.


Create targeted PR initiatives to engage both direct customers (packaging companies) and their end consumers (brands & retailers).


Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound media inquiries.


Corporate Affairs & Public Relations




Develop and implement a corporate affairs strategy, strengthening relationships with investors, government bodies, and key corporate stakeholders.


Support public affairs initiatives, positioning the company as a leader in sustainable materials policy and innovation.


Design internal communication programs that inspire and engage employees.


Performance & Budget Management




Develop an evaluation framework for tracking the success of PR and communication initiatives.


Measure and report channel performance against KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement.


Manage the communications budget, optimizing spend for maximum impact.


Provide ad hoc support to the Head of Marketing and broader business as needed.

Who We're Looking For




This role is perfect for a PR and communications specialist with a passion for sustainability, technology, and innovation. The ideal candidate will bring experience working with ingredient technology brands, packaging, or sustainable materials.

Essential Experience:




Strong expertise in PR & communications strategy across B2B and B2C sectors.


Experience managing media relations--crafting pitches, securing press coverage, and building journalist networks.


Proven ability to drive impactful PR campaigns that enhance brand reputation and generate demand.


Understanding of ingredient branding and the ability to create compelling narratives for licensing businesses.


Experience developing partner PR strategies for a diverse customer base (small businesses, global brands, B2B, B2C).


Track record of persuasive, high-impact communication that drives engagement with key audiences.


Familiarity with corporate affairs and public relations (direct experience is a plus).

Salary: 50,000 - 55,000


Holidays: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (UK)
