The Role

The P&O Cruises PR & events team engage with key audiences by developing and executing impactful PR and events activity. The objective being to support the business in delivering commercial priorities, promoting the product and maximising PR and brand exposure, which ultimately helps to drive sales.

You will:

  • Assist both the PR and events team with the planning and delivery of all activity, overseeing logistics, admin and communications.
  • Input creatively into the generation of news releases, features and events to deliver stand out moments and increase the overall coverage of P&O Cruises.
  • Co-ordinate and book guest transport, berthing, dining, VIP requests and any special arrangements, as required
  • Action core proactive and reactive media relations; press releases, press trip identification and arrangements
  • Support the delivery of Brand Partner activation.
Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a a CUK10 and is offered on a full time permanent basis with at least two days based in our Southampton office

About You

Fresh ideas and different perspectives are what excite us most and help us to succeed. Alongside bringing these to the role, you\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99ll also need:
  • Previous experience within PR or large scale hospitality events especially within logistics and operations mangement
  • Effective organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioroties
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of PR and its role in marketing
  • Budgeting and cost management experience
