We're recruiting a PR Manager within the in-house Marketing & Communications team who will raise the profile and strengthen the reputation of Colliers through media relations as one of the leading real estate organisations in the UK.
This role is responsible for creating, managing and implementing PR campaigns to promote the brand across key national, trade and specialist publications in the UK, as well as key regional and business publications. Media relations is a key aspect of this role and the post holder is required to develop and enhance relationships with print, broadcast and trade media publications. The post holder will work with a variety of stakeholders from across the business including department heads; operational board members, the wider Marketing & Communications team; as well as external stakeholders including client PR departments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement PR strategies: Craft and execute comprehensive PR plans to boost the firm's brand and reputation in the commercial real estate market, ensuring alignment with business goals and responding to market trends. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on external communications and media strategies and work closely with the wider Marketing & Communications team, Research, and senior leadership, to develop and communicate compelling brand narratives.
  • Media relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, including trade, national, and broadcast media, in order to secure broad coverage for the business. Be a key point of contact for press inquiries, manage the promotion of key research reports as well as media engagements for internal clients.
  • Content creation and management: Produce press releases, thought leadership articles, SEO-rich blogs, scripts and briefing documents that ensuring consistency with the firm's brand guidelines and messaging.
  • Media monitoring and reporting: Track media coverage and analyse campaign performances, preparing regular reports on PR activities and outcomes for stakeholders and senior management.
  • Event planning and support: Plan and execute events with journalists, including in-house presentations, meetings and webinars. Support the business' wider corporate events, develop messaging, presentations across mixed media channels.
  • Award entries: Monitor, compose and enter compelling award entries for our departments and the whole UK business. Liaising with clients to secure testimonials and essential data for winning entries.
  • Internal communications: Ensuring key business wins and achievements are promoted internally, in order to enable cross-selling. Work with the Internal Communications Manager to ensure up-to-date content is shared on the intranet and across other internal communications channels.
  • Crisis management: Implement crisis communication plans to protect the firm's reputation during challenging times, providing timely and effective communication to our people, stakeholders and, where necessary, clients.
Qualifications
Key Skills/Requirements:
  • Experience: At least three years' experience in a PR role, with a proven track record of securing impactful media coverage and managing successful PR campaigns. Experience in real estate or related sectors desired, but not essential. Qualifications in journalism, PR, Marketing or Communications would be ideal, but not essential.
  • Communication skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex narratives concisely and effectively to various client audiences, across multiple channels.
  • Media relations: A proven record of building a strong network of media contacts and experience in managing press relations, including complex situations.
  • Strategic and creative thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategic and creative PR plans that align with business objectives, with strong analytical skills to assess PR campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Team collaboration: A collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional marketing and communications teams.
