Role Overview
The PR Manager will be responsible for driving client campaigns, securing media coverage, creating compelling content (press releases, pitches), managing media relationships, and supporting new business efforts. You'll work closely with the internal team, clients, and media to ensure our high standards and tailored approach are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
Client Campaign Management
Lead day-to-day PR strategy and execution for multiple audio clients
Plan and manage product launches - from embargo planning to post-launch coverage reporting
Manage press lists and build tailored media outreach per product vertical
Media Relations
Maintain and grow strong relationships with audio, tech, lifestyle and music journalists across online, print, and broadcast
Secure product reviews, news coverage, and interviews in relevant publications and platforms
Content Creation
Write and edit press releases to Jackrabbit's in-house editorial standard (structure, tone and language as per house style)
Craft high-impact pitch emails tailored to each media outlet or journalist
Oversee image assets and delivery of media kits
Research & Reporting
Research and compile media target lists per launch using historical placement data and new prospecting
Monitor and report on coverage, compiling summaries and insight reports for clients
Keep an eye on competitor activity and relevant trends in audio/tech/lifestyle media
Review & Influencer Seeding
Coordinate review sample logistics and ensure journalist needs are met
Identify and manage relationships with credible influencers and content creators within the audio space
New Business Support
Assist with proposal writing and presentations for potential clients
Contribute to brainstorms and PR ideation for new briefs
Required Experience & Skills
3+ years PR experience, ideally with consumer tech, audio, or lifestyle brands
Strong knowledge of UK/EU/US media landscape, especially in audio, tech, music, and lifestyle publications
Proven track record of securing editorial placements and managing launches
Excellent writing skills - able to produce high-quality, engaging, and structured PR copy in Jackrabbit's house style
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines
Proficiency in press list tools, media monitoring, and basic asset management
Passion for music, sound, or audio products is a strong advantage
